Forme | Our Ethos
The Forme brands ethos is that to create bicycles designed for the British public and terrain. All Forme cycles are designed and tested right here in the UK by a squad with unrivalled experience. The inception of each model starts with a realistic conversation regarding what the British rider needs from their bike. For example some of our Longcliffe road range offer mud guard clearance for our unpredictable British weather, excellent choice of strong rims to combat our well used roads and sealed bearing hubs from £800 upwards to keep you riding regardless of how many salty puddles you glide through. We combine these practical elements and blend them with flair to deliveryou the 2015 Forme range.
We are very proud of our modest brand and will always strive to uphold its reputation as one of the finest British brands on the market.
Forme | Our History
Forme Bikes are proudly designed and developed in Derbyshire. Following observation of a clear gap in the market for British high quality aluminium road bikes the range was launched with a small collection of 5 Road Bike models at key selling price points with immediate success in March 2010. The strength of Forme combined with the phenomenal consistent growth in cycling has allowed us to develop our range to 40 models in less than 2 years.
Forme Test Centre | The Peak District
From our office in Derbyshire we are just a short ride away from the peak district. Both the dark and white peak areas of the peak district offer huge diversity and we continue to take our inspiration from some of the best riding scenery in the world. Our passion for riding in the peak district has been displayed on each of our models hence the name selections such as Longcliffe, one of our infamous interval climbs, or Alport taken from Alport heights, the first hill from the south of the peak district over 1000ft.
One key to our success is an understanding of the British market and we show examples of this on every single model in the range. Our recognition of the most important components to create a bicycle in the UK, also sets us apart from our competition.
